WHEN SHOULD I TREAT ASPHALT SHINGLES?
You can treat asphalt shingles either proactively when a new roof is completed or at any time. Most roofs show signs of drying out around 6 and 10 years of age, depending on location and intensity of the Sun's UV rays. We recommend giving Roof Rejuvenate a call at 515-361-1001.
WHAT ARE THE SIGNS MY ROOF IS DRYING OUT?
The first sign that your roof shingles are drying out is when the shingles' protective top layer of granule coating begins shedding off into the gutters, causing clogging and buildup. This coating functions as a "sunscreen" for your shingles. The biodegradable oil contained within the shingles is essential for maintaining this coating, but as it dries out, the shingles will start to become brittle and crack. This is when you see more advanced roofing issues such as leaks or breakage.
You will also begin to notice stains and streaking on the shingles. While staining is more a cosmetic issue, it is still important to keep up maintenance on your roof to avoid issues down the line.

Yes. The products Roof Rejuvenate uses are eco friendly and 100% safe for people, pets, property, and the environment, because it's an all-natural food-grade product. Any overspray is rinsed away with a hose or rain.
WHAT DOES THE 5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY COVER?
Roof Rejuvenate of Iowa proudly warrants that the treated asphalt shingles will perform as originally designed and warranted by the shingle manufacturer for a period of at least five (5) years from the date of your treatment.
The Roof Rejuvenate Warranty is still valid even if your manufacturer's warranty is void due to time or transfer restrictions.
This is not a warranty against leaks from faulty installation or other damage sustained by the roof (hail, high winds). However, if under normal operating & weather conditions the treated shingles lose their proper operating flexibility, granular adhesion characteristics, or structural integrity or performance, Roof Rejuvenate will retreat all affected areas on a simple prorated basis (over 60-month warranty period).

WHAT ARE THE WEATHER REQUIREMENTS?
The temperature must be above 36 degrees for application of our Greener shingles product.Our product quickly penetrates the shingle's top layer and begins soaking in typically 1 hour. There is no need for concern about it being washed away by the rain once it has been absorbed by the shingles.
DOES TREATMENT CHANGE THE APPEARANCE OF MY ROOF?
Our greener shingles product will bring your shingles back closer to their original color. Most shingles lighten in color as the oil dries out. This natural oil fully saturates your shingles, which helps to restore their color.
